Notes / 附註: *APPLICANT PURSUING THIS COURSE WITH COURSE COMMENCEMENT DATE FALLING AFTER 31 AUGUST 2023 IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO CLAIM REIMBURSEMENT FROM CEF. / 申請人報讀於二零二三年八月三十一日後開課的課程並不能申領基金發還款項。 Entry Requirements / 入學要求: (1) Graduates from relevant VTC Higher Diploma (HD) and Professional Diploma (PD) programmes or equivalent. AND (2) English Proficiency from VTC Programmes: (a) Graduates of VTC HD programmes are considered to have met the English language requirement as the VTC HD programmes are taught and assessed in English, the graduates are exempted from further English Language entry requirement. (b) Graduates of VTC PD programmes should have: (i) been awarded the Professional Diploma with either merit or distinction; OR (ii) attained IELTS 6.0 or above, or equivalent. Applicants with Non-Feeder Qualifications: Applicants possessing an alternative qualification deemed equivalent to a UK FHEQ Level 5 qualification in a cognate discipline will be subject to a review of the applicant’s portfolio of work and an admissions interview conducted by SHAPE, and whenever possible, together with BCU staff. The panel will also take into account applicants’ prior professional experience according to the BCU’s policy on Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning and as set out in the Admissions and Enrolment section within the Operations Manual. English Language Entry Requirement: Applicants not having achieved the “English Proficiency from VTC Programmes” stated in part 2 of the “Minimum Admission Requirements” should have attained IELTS 6.0 or above, or equivalent. Course Outline / 課程大綱: 1. Concepts of design thinking (15 hrs) 2. Processes and practice of brief-led design (15 hrs) 3. Creative applications (30 hrs) 4. Sustainable materials, structures and technologies (15 hrs) 5. Studio practise (72 hrs) 6.
