Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
1. 具 有 香 港 中 學 會 考 五 科 及 格 成 績 【 包 括 中 文 及 英 文 ( 課 程 乙 ) 】 ； 或 2. 具 有 香 港 中 學 文 憑 考 試 五 科 第 二 級 ， 包 括 中 文 及 英 文 ； 或 3. 具 同 等 學 歷 之 圖 書 館 在 職 人 員 而 獲 服 務 處 主 管 備 函 推 薦 。

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
Module 1: General Principles and Methods of the Library (16 Hrs + 2 Hrs Exam)
Module 2: Library Organization and Management (15 Hrs + 2 Hrs Exam)
Module 3: Fundamentals of Classification and Cataloging (27 Hrs + 3 Hrs Exam)
Module 4: Information Services (27 Hrs + 3 Hrs Exam)
Module 5: School Library (24 Hrs + 3 Hrs Exam)

[CUSCS exemption policy: A module taken at CUSCS or elsewhere will be recognized as equivalent to a CUSCS module if it is comparable in objectives and learning outcomes as well as QF Level or academic standard, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge to pursue his/her study at CUSCS. The total no. of hours* exempted should not exceed 50% of the total amount of CUSCS programme studied. *Applicable for part-time programmes.]


Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
QUALIFIED TEACHING STAFF WILL BE RECRUITED, WITH A HIGHER DEGREE IN LIBRARY OR RELATED DISCIPLINES AND AT LEAST TWO YEARS TEACHING EXPERIENCE.

Module 3 to 5
- Final Exam 50%
- Assignment 40%

(B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements:
(1) At least 70% of the total contact hours of the CEF course
(2) Obtain overall pass grade D (which is equivalent to 50%) for each module.
