Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
(a) Completion of Secondary 6 or equivalent; or (b) Successful completion of Project Yi Jin; or (c) Holder of a relevant School of Continuing Education (SCE) Certificate (Level 2) or equivalent; or (d) Aged 18 or above with work experience.
Course Outline / 課程大綱:
(1) Physical and functional fitness training and basic therapeutic skills for older adults (3 hours); (2) Physical health conditions of older adults and fundamentals of client care (3 hours); (3) Functional fitness assessment (4.5 hours); (4) Fall prevention management (4.5 hours); (5) Functional fitness training for older adults (3 hours); (6) Anatomy of movement and principles of muscle fitness training for older adults (3 hours); (7) Fundamentals of rehabilitation and therapeutic skills used in sports therapy practice (6 hours); (8) Leading exercises and self-care management of older adults (3 hours)
Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
(a) (1) Master in Sports Science, Physical Education or related disciplines; or (2) Degree-holders in Sports Science, Physical Education or related disciplines with 3 years or above working experience will also be considered (b) Holder of registered physiotherapist will be an advantage (c) Year of industry experience: 2 years or above working experience in program design and delivery with older adults (d) Year of training experience: 1 year or above teaching experience.
Assessment / 課程評核要求:
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Written Test (50%) (2) Practical Test (50%) (B) Completion Requirements: (1) Overall Passing Mark: 50% (C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) Overall Passing Mark: 50% (2) Attendance Requirement: Not less than 70% of the contact hours
