Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
1. COMPLETION OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, OR EQUIVALENT; OR 2. AGED 21 OR ABOVE AND 3. ONE YEAR OF WORKING EXPERIENCE.

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
Module 1 Neurobiology and Human Body (16 Hrs + 2 Hrs exam)
Module 2 Elderly Nutrition (16 Hrs + 2 Hrs exam)
Module 3 Understanding Dementia (17 Hrs + 1 Hr mid-term exam)
Module 4 Rehabilitation Skill Training (24 Hrs)
Module 5 Practical Skills of Managing Dysphagia and Facilitating Communications for the Elderly (23 Hrs + 1 Hr test)

[CUSCS exemption policy: A module taken at CUSCS or elsewhere will be recognized as equivalent to a CUSCS module if it is comparable in objectives and learning outcomes as well as QF Level or academic standard, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge to pursue his/her study at CUSCS. The total no. of hours* exempted should not exceed 50% of the total amount of CUSCS programme studied.*Applicable for part-time programmes.]

Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
QUALIFIED TEACHING STAFF WILL BE RECRUITED, PREFERABLY WITH A HIGHER DEGREE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY OR REHABILITATION OR RELATED DISCIPLINES AND AT LEAST ONE YEARS TEACHING EXPERIENCE.
