Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
(1) have completed CUSCS “Diploma Programme in Advanced Putonghua”, or equivalent; and (2) have Level 2 in five subjects in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination including Chinese Language and English Language, or equivalent, for example: Certificates at secondary education level obtained in Mainland such as specialist or from overseas such as GCSE; or aged 21 or above.

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
(1) Module 1: Overview of Putonghua Teaching (27 hours + 3 hours Test and Final Exam) (2) Module 2: Enhanced Language Proficiency Training for Putonghua Teachers (28 hours + 2 hours Test and Final Exam) (3) Module 3: Special Topic in Putonghua Teaching: Oral Reading and Recitation (30 hours) (4) Module 4: Putonghua Teaching Workshop (36 hours) [The sequence of delivery may vary in different intakes] [CUSCS exemption policy: A module taken at CUSCS or elsewhere will be recognized as equivalent to a CUSCS module if it is comparable in objectives and learning outcomes as QF Level or academic standard, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge to pursue his/her study at CUSCS. The total no. of hours* exempted should not exceed 50% of the total amount of CUSCS programme studied] [*Applicable for part-time programmes]

Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
Qualified teaching staff with higher degrees and experience in Putonghua teaching for more than 10 years will be recruited to teach each module.

Assessment / 課程評核要求:
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Module 1: Assignment 30%; Mid-term Test 30%; Final Exam 40% (2) Module 2: Presentation 30%; Mid-term Test 30%; Final Exam 40% (3) Module 3: Assignment 30%; Presentation 60%; Class participation 10% (4) Module 4: Project 80%; Class participation 20% (B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) Have an attendance rate of 70% or above in each module; and (2) Have passed the overall assessments of each module (i.e. overall pass grade D / equivalent to 50% or above).
