Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
Applicants shall have: (1) Completion of secondary education, or equivalent; or (2) Aged 21 or above

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
(1) Module 1: English Grammar (26 hours+2 hours Mid-term Test+2 hours Exam) (2) Module 2: English in Use (18 hours+45 minutes Mid-term Test+1 hour 15 minutes Exam) (3) Module 3: Writing Skills Workshop (22 hours+2 hours Exam) (4) Module 4: Improving Listening and Speaking Skills (18 hours+2 hours Exam) (5) Module 5: Pronouncing English Accurately (18 hours+2 hours Exam) [*The sequence of delivery may vary in different intakes.] [CUSCS exemption policy: A module taken at CUSCS or elsewhere will be recognized as equivalent to a CUSCS module if it is comparable in objectives and learning outcomes as well as QF Level or academic standard, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge to pursue his/her study at CUSCS. Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
Qualified teaching staff will be drawn from local / overseas universities, industries or the related fields, with a bachelor’s degree or above, and a minimum of two years teaching experience in relevant disciplines or equivalent professional experience.

Assessment / 課程評核要求:
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Module 1: Mid-term Test 50%, Exam 50% (2) Module 2: Mid-term Test 30%, Exam 70% (3) Module 3: Assignment 50%, Test 20%, Exam 30% (4) Module 4: Presentation 20%, Exam 80% (5) Module 5: Exam 100% (B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) At least 70% of the total contact hours of the CEF course (2) Obtain overall pass grade D (which is equivalent to 50%) for each module.
