Entry Requirements / 入學要求:
Applicants should: (1) have completed secondary education, or equivalent; or (2) be aged 21 or above

Course Outline / 課程大綱:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Programming (28 hours + 2 hours exam)
Module 2: Python Programming (28 hours + 2 hours exam)
Module 3: Python Application Project (30 hours)

1. The sequence of module delivery may vary in different intakes.
2. CUSCS exemption policy: A module taken at CUSCS or elsewhere will be recognized as equivalent to a CUSCS module if it is comparable in objectives and learning outcomes as QF Level or academic standard, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge to pursue his/her study at CUSCS. The total no. of hours* exempted should not exceed 50% of the total amount of CUSCS programme studied. [*Applicable for part-time programmes]

Instructors' Qualifications / 導師資歷:
Qualified teaching staff with higher degrees or professional qualifications in related fields will be recruited to teach each module.

Assessment / 課程評核要求:
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings:
(1) Module 1: Fundamentals of Programming - Final Exam 40%; Assignment 50%; Class participation 10%
(2) Module 2: Python Programming - Final Exam 40%; Assignment 30%; Case Studies 20%; Class participation 10%
(3) Module 3: Python Application Project - Assignment 40%; Project 50%; Class participation 10%

(B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements:
(1) Overall passing mark: 50%;
(2) Passing mark for each module:
- Module 1: 50%
- Module 2: 50%
- Module 3: 50%
(3) Attendance requirement: 70%
