Overview

The Student Finance Office administers two financial assistance schemes for needy pre-primary students, including the Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission Scheme (KCFRS) and the Grant for School-related Expenses for Kindergarten (Grant-KG). Please click here for details of the schemes.

Change of Information

  • For change of school / resumption of class during school year:
    In case any student-applicant who has applied for / is receiving fee remission under KCFRS later transfers to another school and resume class during the school year, the parent should submit the Form C through the attending schools as soon as possible. Such form is also obtainable from the new kindergarten / child care centre. Please note that the effective month of fee remission for changing school will be the month in which Form C are received by the kindergartens/child care centres, or the month in which the student-applicants are admitted to the schools, whichever is the later.

  • For change of residential address: After the removal, please notify the Student Finance Office (SFO) in writing either by fax or mail with the following details including

    1. the removal date;

    2. application number / applicant’s HKID card number; and

    3. copy of address proof (e.g. leases, water / electricity / gas bill etc.).

  • If applicants wish to amend any information in their applications submitted or to provide supplementary information (e.g. updating the family members’ information, claiming additional unmarried child residing with the family), they should notify the SFO in writing no later than 30 calendar days from the date of occurrence of changes.

  • The notification should be duly signed by the applicant with the application number or HKID card number of the applicant provided and submitted together with the relevant supporting documents to the SFO.
