Overview

The Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS) provides means-tested financial assistance in the form of grant and/or loan to eligible full-time students taking up an exclusively publicly-funded student place of a recognised post-secondary programme.

    The recommended submission schedule has passed. If continuing students still need to submit applications, please submit applications through "eWFSFAA" online platform as soon as possible.

  • Applications should be submitted in accordance with the schedule specified above. In any case, applications should reach the Student Finance Office (SFO) no later than 31 December 2025.

  • Late applications beyond 31 December 2025 would only be processed for circumstances that are beyond the control of individual applicants, for instance, the commencement date of their study programme falls after 31 December 2025 or individual applicants experienced serious financial hardship as a result of drastic change in their family’s financial situation after 31 December 2025. The applicants involved have to provide documentary proofs to substantiate their claims if they would like to submit a late submission due to such circumstances.

  • Under no circumstances will SFO accept 2025/26 applications after 31 March 2026.

  • Applicants who attend a postgraduate programme that commences between March 2025 and February 2026 should apply for financial assistance for the 2025/26 academic year. The deadline for application is one month following the commencement of the programme and in any case not later than 31 March 2026.
