Overview

The Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students (NLSFT) is to complement the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS) to provide loans to eligible students to settle tuition fees of recognised full-time study courses.

Application Deadline

The NLSFT application for the 2025/26 academic year is closed. The Student Finance Office (SFO) will only process late applications under circumstances that are beyond the control of individual applicant. If applicants still need to submit application for the 2025/26 academic year, please use the "NLSFT Paper-based Application Form" [NLSFT 112B(2025)]. They should be supported with written explanation and will be considered on individual merits upon submission of the duly completed application form and whole set of the required documents by the applicant. All applications for the 2025/26 academic year must be submitted to the SFO on or before 31 March 2026.

Note: If applicants attend postgraduate (by research) courses that commence between March 2025 and February 2026, they should apply for the NLSFT loan in the 2025/26 academic year. The application deadline is one month following the commencement of the course and in any case not later than 31 March 2026.
