Overview

The Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) provides means-tested financial assistance in form of grant and/or loan to eligible full-time students pursuing locally-accredited, self-financing post-secondary education programmes at the level of associate degree, higher diploma or bachelor’s degree.

Level of Financial Assistance

  • Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for FASP may refer to the Calculator on the webpage to obtain a rough estimate of the amount of eligible financial assistance.

  • The maximum level of assistance under FASP for the 2026/27 academic year is tabulated below:

    Tuition fees (TF) grant Expected to be announced in July 2026.
    Academic expenses (AE) grant * Expected to be announced in July 2026.
    Living expenses (LE) loan Expected to be announced in July 2026.
    Hostel subsidy Expected to be announced in July 2026 or the actual hostel fee payable (after deducting any other hostel subsidies or waivers), whichever is lower.
    Additional academic expenses grant for students with special educational needs Expected to be announced in July 2026.
