Grantham Scholarships Fund - Grantham Maintenance Grants

History and Aim
The Fund has been established since 1955 and provides assistance to students who are in financial need as assessed under a means test, in the form of maintenance grants. The student is eligible if he / she is pursuing any one of the following full-time courses of study:

  • a secondary day school approved by the Education Bureau (i.e. Senior Secondary 1 / Secondary 4 to Senior Secondary 3 / Secondary 6); or

  • certain courses of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and Youth College under the auspices of the Vocational Training Council.

Eligibility

  • Full-time students who are in financial need and are studying at the above-mentioned schools / colleges may apply.

Value of Awards

  • The value of award depends on the amount of funds available and the number of eligible applicants in the year of application.

Method of Application

  • The application period of the Grantham Maintenance Grants 2025/26 was closed on 30 September 2025. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Payment Arrangement

  • The maintenance grants will be paid after the Grantham Scholarships Fund Committee has decided on the allocation of the grants. This will be remitted by direct transfer of the approved maintenance grants to school's account through the bank and the schools are then requested to disburse the grants to the successful candidates.
