Post : Processing Supervisor
Salary : HK$21,250 per month
Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have –
(a) have attained five subjects at Level 2 / Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [see Note 1] (including Chinese Language, English Language [see Note 2] and Mathematics);
(b) have at least 4 years of full-time working experience in administration work, including 1 year at supervisory level. Working Experience in administering funding schemes in Government sectors / public organisations would be an advantage;
(c) have good command of both oral and written English and Chinese; and
(d) equipped with good computer knowledge.
Notes :
(1) “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language Subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2) “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties :
(a) To assist in processing applications and liaising with relevant institutions or government departments;
(b) To assist in handling appeal cases, late applications and random checking of applications documents;
(c) To handle public enquiries and complaints;
(d) To perform general clerical duties and assist with IT-related tasks;
(e) To supervise the work of Assistant Clerical Officers, Clerical Assistants and / or officers at equivalent levels; and
(f) To perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
Note: Subject to operational requirement of the department, the appointed candidate may be required to perform shift duties, work irregular hours and overtime (including on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). He/She will be deployed to work in any location as assigned by the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency.
Terms of Appointment :
A successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of this Agency and the performance of the candidate.
Fringe Benefits :
(1) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of a one-year contract with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485 of the Laws of Hong Kong), is equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(2) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance (Cap. 57 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions / Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. General Notes :
