Salary : HK$30,100 per month

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have –
(a) a bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) a minimum of one year’s post-qualification full-time working experience, with experience in public administration being an advantage;
(c) good command of both Chinese and English and have met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (please refer to the Notes (1) and (2) below);
(d) good computer knowledge; and
(e) good communication skills and be able to work and solve problems independently.

Notes :
(1) Grade C or above in the Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese paper of the CRE.
(2) Level 5 or above in English Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese paper of the CRE.
(3) As invitations or notifications will be sent to candidates by email, candidates should provide an accurate email address in their application. Candidates are responsible for checking their email account to ensure that invitations or notifications have been duly received.

Duties :
(a) To assist in the administration of financial assistance schemes and monitoring the processing of applications;
(b) To assist in compiling statistical reports and updating scheme-related documents;
(c) To handle public enquiries and complaints and oversee the operation of the hotline receiving public enquiries;
(d) To assist in developing the enhanced or new functions and/or computer systems in relation to the operation of financial schemes and conduct user acceptance tests;
(e) To provide executive support in office administration as well as functional tasks and supervise the work of clerical staff; and
(f) To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Note: Subject to operational requirement of the department, the appointed candidate may be required to perform shift duties, work irregular hours and overtime (including on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). He/She will be deployed to work in any location as assigned by the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency.

Terms of Appointment :
The successful candidate(s) will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the performance of the candidate.

Fringe Benefits :
(1) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of a 12-month contract with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485 of the Laws of Hong Kong), is equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(2) 12 days of annual leave for appointment on a 12-month contract whereas rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance (Cap. 57 of the Laws of Hong Kong). Entitlement for annual leave will be calculated on pro-rata basis for appointment less than 12 months.

Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Applicants should submit scanned copies of their diplomas/certificates, official transcripts of studies and official documents stating the mode of delivery (e.g. full time/part time, on campus/distance learning, etc.) of the study programmes by email to recruitment@wfsfaa.gov.hk on or before 23 July 2025. Copies of local qualification documents and proof of working experience are not required at this stage of application.

General Notes :
